AWOL
Remember I mentioned I was going to do a photo shoot with my boyfriend? Well we did it, and Lawrence has finally processed and edited the pics and he sent me a few samples (of course the mosaic is done by me and not Lawrence):

I know we totally look like 2 girls here:

That was when boyfriend still hadn't cut his hair for his day job. Around March... Been some time. I still remembered using my hair straightening iron on him that day, that's why his hair is sooo straight! I thought it was going to be awkward doing a shoot with boyfriend for the first time, but we pulled through it by laughing in each other's faces. We would burst out laughing when we caught each other's eye, I don't know why. -.- But it was fun nonetheless. Anything is fun when you're with your boyfriend, right?! I haven't seen the entire collection of pictures so I can't pick a favourite right now, but when I do I'd post them up. Out of the 4, I like the last one best so far. After our shoot, we all went for porridge in the Chinatown area. BEST Cantonese porridge I've ever had! Well, if you like sticky porridge you'd love it. I do. Century-egg porridge with chicken and loads of pepper and spring onions, together with yóu tiáo! I cleaned my bowl out:
Kinda forgot the address but it's near Keong Saik Road. Watch out for this big red signboard if you will!:
Before I forget to mention, my boyfriend also bought me a steam cleaner for my room!:
He claims my room is a mess, and despite his incessant nagging to clean up, I've been lagging behind. =X So one day he dragged me to Courts and bought me this steam cleaner from Kärcher to get my butt movin'! HEHEHE. So sweet. I promise I'd clean up, boyfriend! ♥
Last but not least, I know I've been AWOL. But I have some stuff to deal with and honestly don't have the mood to blog. Am dropping by to let you all know that Essensuals Bugis is having a new promotion:

Remember to ask the stylists for their IN-HOUSE PACKAGES!!! Rest assured of tip-top service at Essensuals Bugis, because you'd walk out of there with shiny, bouncy hair! Happens to me every time... ;) And on top of that, Essensuals Bugis has a newly acquired spa treatment especially flown in from Tokyo, Japan. Ask about their Premium Spa Treatment - $60 short, $70 mid-length and $80 for long hair! Click my "Essensuals" tab at the end of the post to view more experiences with Essensuals Bugis! x
Last but not least, there's an upcoming flea market this Saturday 4th June (and also 25th June!) at *Scape Youth Park, and I'm going to be there along with several other bloggers like Agri Velt, Typical Ben and Dawn Yang! Yes, What The Flea!:

Come and grab pre-loved items in good condition, for a steal! Bring your mum and dad, your brothers and sisters and your grandparents, whoever! I'm selling my clothes and my storybooks (cheap!). A little warning: I might look super haggard because of everything that's been going on in my life lately, but a flea is a flea so just BE there! See y'all~

The more we get together
Had steamboat dinner on Saturday as planned! The day started with a terrible storm, with thunder so loud it shocked me awake in bed. But that didn't dampen our moods nor postpone our dinner. A and I met up with Cynthia and Ugin and they brought Aydan, and we all went to Giant Hypermart to get groceries in the late afternoon. =) One thing about me, I love grocery (and furniture) shopping, especially with the boyfriend. It feels sooo much like home and love and warmth, all rolled into one huge big-grin feeling. It was the weekend, so the place was very crowded. I could probably deal with that, but not when I get stuck every other minute with the cart because people were in my way. -_- Since Aydan was the kid, he was put into the cart and he served as our horn for people to give way to us. He yelled, "Excuse me!! Excuse me!!!!!" And he said to me in Chinese, "When you want to turn left or right, you can tell me. So I can do this." And then he proceeded to click his tongue like how you hear the arrows clicking when you signal left or right in the car. LOL! Kids really do say the darndest things! A was put in charge of pushing the cart in the end, because then he could entertain Aydan by racing all over the supermarket while the rest of us shopped!:

One small kid, one adult but still a kid at heart, HAHAHA. ;):

Me and Aydan:

Aydan in the grocery cart:
Cynthia and A picking out shabu-shabu beef! =):

ALL of these are for 6 adults and 1 child (there's still a bit more stuff to the left of the picture that I didn't take!):
LOL, seems like a lot of good stuff right?!?!!!! They all ended up right here:
Me and the boy - you can tell how good the food was, just by his facial expression:

=) ♥♥♥:

My friends!:
Yes, the steamboat was held in my corridor, by the stairwell. HAHA. Always wanted to do that!!! But the steamboat itself actually belongs to Cynthia, so it was nice of her to bring it to us all the way! ^_^ It was totally worth it because all that food only totaled up to about $80, shared among 6 people. It's cheaper than steamboat in Bugis! Had a lot of fun and laughter, filling our stomachs with good food, with good people. I need more of this! We'd do it again sometime. =D Everyone played a part, even in eating - which is what we're best at, so hurrah!!! x

Your love is my drug
I can only recontract my plan in July to change my BB to an iPhone but for now, I fiddle with my boyfriend's phone. HEHEHE. Cartoonise yourself!:

On the bus!:

I know, so randommmm. So I had my Stuff magazine shoot on Wednesday, and before that I went to Milly's to change my manicure and pedicure design again because I wanted it to be simple! So I opted for the classic French manicure. =):

I love it. =D If only my real nails could look this pretty and healthy!! But that'd be impossible, ha. I personally feel that every girl should have this kind of maintenance at least. =D ♥ Milly's did an immaculate job! Get your nails done at Milly's too! They're located at Far East Plaza II #03-129 and Bugis Village #3, 4 & 5!
Met up with the boy for dinner after my shoot. We walked around and decided on F.I.S.H, under Fish & Co. I've been to Fish & Co. before, but not to F.I.S.H, so that was my first time. They had free-flow salad as starters, from greens to pasta. I thought that wasn't too bad........... until our food took AGES to arrive. (T_T) There's nothing I hate more than waiting too long for my food. Not even the drink came first. We waited for so long that we ended up taking pictures of ourselves:

Me like this pic. ^_^ I love my boyfriendddd!!!! RAWRRR! ♥♥♥:

I swear the food took more than half an hour to arrive. Even the manager mixed up the next table's takeaway orders with ours, and when they cleared A's salad plate and utensils away and our food finally came, he only had a knife to eat with. They didn't give him new utensils. -_- And we didn't even have iced water. =/ I don't usually complain about service unless it's really bad, and you know, I won't go back there again. The food is only so-so as well. My baked seafood spaghetti (with pasta that's a little bit too soft and baby mussels. I get way bigger mussels at Food Junction in Bugis):
The huuuuge drink we shared - Sharkie Freeze!:

OH, I forgot to mention I cooked dinner for my boyfriend the other day!! HEHEHE!!!! Like, a complete meal! Oh well, it was a simple one but still a meal all the same. I attempted white rice with the rice cooker.... And thank God it turned out just nice! Wasn't too hard or too mushy. ^_^V The dishes were fried salmon, pork belly in dark soy sauce and...... sunny-side-up fried eggs. LOL! I told you it was simple! But hey, I think I succeeded 90%! =) I'd get better. ;) My next attempt is his favourite soup, lotus soup! I WILL succeed, promise! Good wife in training okay. HAHAHAHA. =P
And speaking of home-cooked food, I'm having steamboat at my house tomorrow!!! Cynthia, Ugin, Aydan, me, my boyfriend, my sister and her boyfriend. 6 adults, 1 kid. It's going to be fun. =) Can't wait! xoxo

Avril Lavigne Black Star Tour 2011
*My recent older posts have been pushed down by this long-ass entry so please check out "Previous Posts" in the pink column for more!*
Hello. I have a sore throat. =( Avril Lavigne made me scream so much. Blame her. LOL! Nahhh I don't blame her, but I just really hate sore throats. =( Anyway the concert last night was fantastico! Except for 2 little problems (or rather, huge problems): 1. my camera couldn't seem to capture good shots, and I don't know if it's because of the stage lightings or my camera settings. =( And 2. Avril seemed to favour her left side more and I was on her right!!!! So even though I was first-row, I saw 80% of her side/back view throughout the whole concert. SUPER BUMMER. As usual, I came back home with pictures and videos!!! Here's a bunch of pics (mind you, some are bad... and I've already watermarked the acceptable ones)!:

These few were when she came over to my side!!!!:

I took 7 videos in all!:
What The Hell
Alice
I got a video full of smoke for this one, because the smoke machine was on overdrive. Even AVRIL herself couldn't see us, just as much as we couldn't see her. The song was supposed to be beautiful and haunting, but instead it ended up being a little comical when the smoke got worse and worse, especially when Avril sang, "I~ I'll survive - this fog." (at 2:25.) HAHA. She's cute. You can also see her fanning the smoke away at 3:11! It was that bad. -_- Despite the smoke, her vocals stayed powerful!
Stop Standing There
This song's starting to grow on me. =)
Wish You Were Here
I only got half of this song!
Airplanes (cover) + My Happy Ending
The beginning of the video is just guitar riffs by her band, you can skip it if you want!
Don't Tell Me
Girlfriend
Avril came SO CLOSE to me in the middle of this song at 1:53!!!!! I touched her entire hand smack across when she swiped it past the crowd one of the rare times that she DID come over. Front-row perks! LOL. And I said "rare times" because like I said, she seemed to favour the other side more during the entire show. :( We screamed louder though! :S
I am so over the moon about how close she came that I MADE A FREEZE FRAME. HAHAHAHA!!!:

And that was the end of the rock-out show!!! With a very sweaty me in my Abbey Dawn hoodie!:

Burnt a lot of calories that night, I'd bet!!!! LOL. Even though I arrived early enough, I still missed the part where she arrived at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and get this - signed autographs for her fans. OMGGG, I want to slap myself for going in early! I have ALL 4 of her albums and yet I have ZERO autographs, not even on ONE. It's not justifiable. =.= Even my boyfriend asked why he has to see Avril's face all the time when he wakes up in my bed cos I have her poster right in front of me. That's how much I love her, and more. Some people won't get it. Music is a very, very, VERY important part of my life. In fact, I honestly believe in music therapy (it exists). Therefore when I hear good music (or at least to me it's good), I stick by that appreciation and support all the way. I don't go all over the place and run amok like an international groupie. That'd be lame. -_- For me, it's Avril and Avril all the way through, so yeah. I know she's had several albums out; the first one was rebellious in a "I-don't-give-a-fuck" way (and a little dark), the second one was super dark and angsty, the third one was fun and this latest one is mellow. It doesn't take a genius to realise my favourite album to date, is the second one. I can relate to the angst, for a lot of reasons. In fact, when I'm angsty or angry, I blast Avril Lavigne. Without hesitation. *shrugs* That's just me. Anyway, enough blabbering - here's what I missed before her concert!:
I think I couldn't get enough of Avril because.................. I went to the airport the next day for her departure. =X Yeah well, I'm only a groupie when it comes to Avril Lavigne! Cannot help it, hehe. Anyway, her flight was about 3plus in the afternoon, and she was supposed to check-in at Row 8 but I think someone checked-in for her or something because she went in through Row 1 instead, and by the time we got to the first-class gate, she was already inside. -__- Therefore, I only have this pathetic 10-second video!:
She didn't even turn around when one of the fans yelled her name. Another bummer. Must remind myself that she'd be back!!!!!! And for that, I absolutely cannot wait. Avril Lavigne FTW!!!!!!!! =D ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
