It's been talked about too much
So remember my stalking incident way back in 2008? I can't remember the first media that actually asked me about it, but after they did, all of them started asking me. And so over a period of time, I've gotten video interviews and several newspaper articles about it. Each time my friends know about an interview and it's regarding this stalking incident, they'd be like, "Again?!" Some of them think it happened again, literally, while others thought it happened recently. But no. It happened in 2008, just that one time, and the media just wrote about the same incident over and over. I had 2 other separate stalking incidents though, but this was the worst. I know it's old news and it's the same every time, but repeated publicity is still publicity so I shouldn't complain too much, no? LOL. This was the first article to ever appear (if I remember correctly; the rest were video interviews I guess):

Followed by one in the Straits Times:

Sorry, my scanner could only scan so much, hence you don't get to read the entire story. Only a few lines is about my incident anyway, the rest is about cyber-stalking etc.
And this was the latest, on 22nd February in Xin Ming newspapers:

Worse article ever. They literally translated my story from English to Chinese and mixed up the whole damn thing. That wasn't exactly my version of it. I received an email requesting for an interview for this article but I only saw the email 5 hours late and their press time was 12 noon, so I guess they just went ahead with it anyway but wrote their own story. And they put up horrible pictures of me!!! Urgh!! Unforgivable!!!! (T_T)
In response to all the above articles, I don't know if people actually realise it's not my fault that I was stalked. I know some of you might say, "Who ask you to blog!" etc. But seriously, this dude saw me at all those events I was working at, and not through my blog. Am I supposed not to work?! -_- Plus, I don't mind if people stalk my blog and come back everyday (ahem!), because I'm fully aware that whatever I put on the Internet is for all to see since it's public (AHEM AHEM!).
Stalk my blog all you want; just don't stalk ME. My blog and me, these are 2 different things altogether. I get to choose what I write here, and if I choose not to blog about things I'd like to keep private, I can. However, if a person stalks ME, then it's an intrusion into my private life and my safety, and that's where I draw the line. So many people have blogs anyway, it's not like keeping a blog is a surefire way to get stalked. My friend who doesn't have a blog got stalked too. Her stalker left handkerchiefs on her bike every morning; she didn't dare to examine them to see what was on it. GROSS. And then one time there was this:

A condom on a clothes peg, really?! Sick in the head! I guess we're just unlucky people. I've learned not to listen to music when I walk in dark places now, and I'm always aware of my surroundings. Better to be safe than sorry. I hate it when people walk behind me, I don't care who - I don't care if that person is male or female. I guess I benefited from this whole incident anyway; sometimes being paranoid can be a good thing. HA.
Always watch your back. =)
With that said, I'd still continue blogging... I don't care if you love me or hate me, as long as you all continue reading! Hehehe! GOODNIGHT.

Lelong!!!
I've never set up a stall at a flea market in my entire life. Always wanted to, though. I know the purpose of a flea is to get rid of old/unwanted stuff that are still in good condition. I have a lot of those stuff, but I just can't imagine selling them off for cheap when I bought them for a higher price. =( The boyfriend managed to talk me into dealing with it, hahaha. Everyone says, "It's like that." So FINE. Like that, it is. LOL. I have too many clothes anyway, and like I've mentioned before, my wardrobe is already full. That resulted in me hanging my clothes along my window ledge, which in turn resulted in beetles and moths chewing holes in some of them. ='( Fuck those things! Imagine finding holes in my VS t-shirts! Argh. These are only SOME of the clothes and bags that I packed away!:

So when Essensuals Bugis proposed this idea of a flea market to us previously, all the bloggers were game for it. Whaddya knowwww, my first flea and I didn't even have to pay for rental space!! Haha! So thank you, Bryan and Essensuals Bugis!! ^_^ The flea was held yesterday, and if you came down to check it out you'd have seen the entire salon turned into a bazaar of clothes, bags, shoes, fashion accessories, anything you can think of. Yours truly dragged an entire bag of clothes and storybooks there, as well as bags, but ended up dragging 90% of it back home. =( Okay so the boyfriend helped me, but still~!!
This is my space, next to Wenqing's and Sophie's!:

My hair is so messy 'cos I lost my travel adapter and hence can't use my hair straightening iron with a USA socket. AND I know, my set-up looks like Bugis Street. -___- But that was only because I totally had NO space to hang my clothes! The hangers with the heavier clothing wouldn't hold on the top of the mirror, so I had to hang them on each other. A mini Bugis Street above the real Bugis Street, ahahaha. Yes, Essensuals Bugis very kindly printed out plaque cards for us too! This is Wenqing and her big "name-tag", hahaha:

Me and Wenqing and her big name-tag!:

Jesslyn came down to show her support. ^_^:

That's my sister with me and Jesslyn. Yes, my blood sister and yes, I know we don't look alike. She accompanied me to the flea and helped me with the clothes and the setting-up. How'd you think I managed to drag that humongous bag of clothes there?! 2 of us and we were already struggling, laughing at our incompetence and me laughing at the beads of perspiration running down the side of her face, literally! LOL. Thank you thank you! And lastly, thanks to Bryan, the awesome director of Essensuals Bugis and my long-time friend!:

I only managed to sell off 2 items of clothing - one to Jesslyn and one to a stranger, and 2 storybooks to my reader who promised she'd come down and she did! =) Thank you! And I also couldn't help myself, 'cos I ended up buying a maxi dress from Sophie for $8 (bargained from $10! LOL!). HA. The turn-out wasn't fantastic (maybe because it was on the same day as the Zouk flea) but I still had a lot of fun anyways! My first flea! Hehehe. I swear to get rid of all my unwanted clothes (don't worry, still in good condition!), so hopefully there'd be more to come next time! X)

Bonne Saint Valentin
Out of all the
rubbish guys that I'd gone out with before, I never celebrated Valentine's Day with any of them because either we got together after the Valentine's Day period or called it off before Valentine's Day could come around. It was always that in-between period, you know? And actually I'm secretly happy that I didn't get to celebrate V-Day with them, because this would make it my very first time celebrating it with A, and I know he's worth this first time. =D I was in Bugis the other day to trim my bangs at Essensuals, and after that I had a whole load of time to spare, so I visited several art & craft stores trying to get supplies to make a card for him but my creative juices weren't flowing, so in the end I only came home with ribbon. Haha. But it all turned out well though. I cannot remember the last time I actually did art (although I used to be an art student back in secondary school). But I spent almost the whole of Sunday making a Valentine's Day card for him, and I actually enjoyed it. My end product!:

You can't see from the picture, but I stitched the border of the lighter-coloured paper on the front with needle and thread for design's sake, before gluing it down on to the red. The buttons are stitched on too. If you wanna talk about a scrapbooking attempt, I think I kinda failed. LOL. I thought the front was kinda plain but then I didn't wanna mess it up by attempting to add more stuff, so I left it at that. But I'm a little proud of myself though, it's really been so long since I last sat down and decorated something! HAHA.
And speaking of "decorating", I did my nails for V-Day too. Instead of going for the pink/red hues and hearts, I don't know why I ended up choosing something so simple and got the manicurists to write in my boyfriend's name on each finger. But because my nail bed wasn't big enough and they ran out of the diamante that were used in the sample design, the end result was a little bit disappointing:

=( I thought it was kinda messy. And apologies for blurring the name, I have to. Well, I suppose I'd have to go back and change another design real soon. If you'd like for Milly's to do your nails as well, you can call 8383 5395 to make an appointment. Milly's is located at
Far East Plaza II #03-129 and Bugis Village #3, 4 & 5.At 1plus in the morning on V-Day, my boyfriend text me, "Darling, Bonne Saint Valentin. I love you. ;)" And just like that, I was over the fucking moon and teared up. LOL. Lousy me. Sometimes I think I can really be
quite blur as well. I called the boy half hour before we were supposed to meet for dinner, asking him where he was. He told me, "Buying food." Immediately, I thought, "What the hell???" And I said, "Huh but I thought I'm meeting you at 6 for dinner!" And he said, "Yeah I can grab something small first what." So I said okay, and then when he turned up to pick me up, he had a bouquet of flowers for me! HAHAHA!!! And he remembered my favourite flower is the sunflower. ^_^ He wasn't buying food, but flowers. LOL. I HONESTLY didn't make the link nor suspect anything. -_- I love my boyfriend!!!! =D:

Pardon the biggest grin ever, on my face. HEHEHE. Dinner was supposed to be Ipoh hor fun at Changi Village (yummmm) but then the entire hawker centre was closed for spring-cleaning. (T_T) So in the end we settled for Western food at Charlie's Corner. My sirloin steak wasn't too bad:

After dinner we took a walk at Changi Beach. It was high tide, the waves were crashing and the salty smell of the sea hung in the air with the strong winds. We didn't need to talk, it was a comfortable silence. I remembered thinking to myself, "I could stay like this forever, right here, in his arms, just like that." I have a right to be mushy. HUR!!! It's V-Day people! Hahahaha. Sorry no pictures with my man, I think we were too caught up in each other's company for any. HEHEHE. We walked around Changi Village after that, before heading home. It was the simplest, yet BEST Valentine's ever. I don't need fancy jewelry or an extravagant box of chocolates to feel special, I don't even ask for too much except time with my boyfriend, and that's more than enough. This is just a mini celebration because he's having his final-year exams now, but after he's done we'd have a big one. ^___^ I have a surprise V-Day gift for him as well, but it's late because I didn't buy it locally. He told me I'd have a present also, but I'd have to go with him to choose. =) We're having a belated celebration anyway, so I don't think it matters too much.
I AM SO HAPPY.
Happy Valentine's Day guys!! ♥ I hope you enjoyed your special day with your special someone, just as much as I did. x

Essensuals flea market!
Re-dyed my hair at Essensuals Bugis for the CNY period! Went with Celine this time round!:

Celine washing out her hair dye and too damn shy to look at the camera, haha:

Once again, I feel so lucky and honoured to be a blog ambassador for Essensuals Bugis! Bryan takes such good care of my hair, and I always look for Wayne to wash my hair 'cos he gives the meanest head massage. =D The people there are constantly on their toes, making sure you have everything you need. And I spotted this at the reception counter - doesn't hurt that they are animal-lovers too!:

Now you have a chance to come down to a flea organised by Essensuals Bugis this coming Sunday, 20th February! Come and meet the other blog ambassadors and me, and what's more, you get to buy our stuff! Haha. Spot me in the flyer!:
(click to enlarge)Remember to come down on SUNDAY 20TH FEBRUARY OKAY!!!! =) That's just 5 days away! Essensuals Bugis is located at

The thing about people
They say as time passes, people change. But instead of looking at other people, I look at myself first, wondering if I've changed. When I was little, I spent all my time drawing and colouring. I didn't talk to strangers, to the point that I was even afraid to order food during recess in school. My mum was a housewife then, and everyday during recess, I would queue up at the public phone to call her. I always made sure I had all these 10-cent coins with me, and if the phone was faulty I would be upset. Likewise, if the teacher made me stay back for some reason, I would be upset too because then I couldn't call my mum. I hated school, hated strangers, hated new environments, hated disrupted routines. I hated PE lessons, especially when the teacher made us partner up because I would always end up being the odd one out. It got so bad one time that for more than half a year around Primary 4 or 5 (can't remember which year exactly), I wrote excuse letters and forged my mum's signature, claiming some long-term injury that would exempt me from PE lessons. Can you imagine how many PE lessons that would be, for more than 6 months? My report book feedback from form teachers almost always said the same thing: "Shy. Needs to put in more initiative." or somewhere along those lines. I also cried at everything, and maybe that's why classmates found it easy to bully me. And precisely because I was bullied, it changed me to become like this now, never taking crap from anyone who tries to climb over my head.
Maybe when people ask me, "Have you changed?", I'd say yes and give the above reason. That is by far, the only biggest change about myself that I would agree to. Now I don't hesitate to speak my mind, I'm no longer afraid to talk to strangers (hell, I work in events and we have to like, mingle/promote all the time and I hate it) and I don't give a rat's ass to whoever thinks badly of me because that just means I could do without them and I didn't even need to proof it 'cos they troubled themselves by doing it for me. Complete strangers/people who barely know me can call me bitchy/rude/nasty (although seriously is that the best you can come up with? -.-) but oops, I'm still alive and kickin'. I wish all my form teachers could look at me now and realise that the "initiative" they so wanted to see in me has finally surfaced, although it took some time.
I've met people who've changed as time past. Friends you consider worthy and important, those same friends who said they'd keep in touch:
"Eh I'm busy now, watching DVD with my brother. Can I call you back?" But they never do. And then one day you realise you've put in so much effort all along and it's time to give up without another word. Maybe I was remotely important at some point in their lives, and maybe other people have taken over as each day passes. Well, it sure doesn't matter now, does it? =) I once had a best friend who was equally stubborn as me, but for some reason I always let her win. She was one of those people who constantly cheated on her boyfriend and made me keep her secrets. I would be the one being interrogated by her boyfriend after a night out partying, and my attempts to lie for my friend's cheating ways would be countered with, "Eh Crystal, I know what kind of person she is lah. Stop lying." And my response would always be, "Then you still ask me?" The last straw came when I stood by her the whole time while she cheated on her boyfriend yet again, this time with Black Eyed Peas' bodyguard at a private party we went to. She was so drunk, I sent her home with puke all over my arm, knocking on her door for her mum because I couldn't find her keys. And then when she sobered up and came crying to me, she accused me of being unappreciative over a small teeny little issue. I don't know if she's ever thought about her actions all these years and realised how much she'd over-reacted. Knowing her, her pride would be so hard to put down that she'd never admit it. And for that, I say good riddance.
Pride. Everyone has it. I will only put down my pride for the one I love, no holds barred. Barely 2 months into 2011, and I realise this year has brought me enough jinxes. They seem to always come in the form of
short, ugly and/or fat people so far, people who cannot pack a mean punch and yet want to throw shit at the fan. Note to self: I need to 打小人. I don't know why I ran one big circle and seem to not have proven my point yet, but Genevieve told me, "People change. We would just have to constantly accept the new 'each other'." And I realised she's right, because that is what you call love.
Love is patient, love is kind. I will be patient and I will be kind, because I love you.Don't know what I'm really talking about, but then isn't a blog just for these? Random ramblings, especially when insomnia haunts you at night. Goodnight.

The Wine Connection and CNY
I recently developed a love for wine, and I have no idea how it came about. Red wine, to be exact. It just hit me out of the blue. I've had wine before, but I've never actually had a "craving" for them, until now. I remember when I went to Hungary to film
Singtel Grid Girls, we went to a winery and tasted lots of different types of wine, but I didn't really make a big deal out of it then. Now I wish I can go back and taste the wine again, properly this time. =/ I happened to be at an Irish pub with Andy and Alex the other night and I ordered pasta, and then decided to get red wine to go with it. I never looked back since then. LOL. Goodbye, beer and hard liquor! I don't think I'd miss you!
I bugged A to drink my wine with me after that, so we went to the supermarket and got a cheap bottle of Jacob's Creek (the best we could find in the heartlands!). I drank 3/4 of the bottle while sitting on A's lap ordering ASOS online because A wanted to get his best friend's birthday present. He also bought me 2 rings! ;) One is the double-finger cross ring in silver and this one, A picked for me:

=) I've never seen a ring like that, so unique. Me like. Thank you babylove. ♥
And so the boyfriend and his friends decided to go to a wine place one night, just 2 days before Chinese New Year. How could I pass up that chance, if red wine would be present? =P We went to The Wine Connection at Unity Street. At the Alkaff Bridge at Robertson Quay:

My Nasty Girl V-back dress (although you can't see the V-back from here) is kindly sponsored by
Le Flirtini! =) I freakin' love it; it's form-fitting and simple, and it's made of really good quality material. Honestly I was quite surprised, and pleased at the same time. They also sponsored me the swing dress in white & black, which I wore to dinner at Crystal Jade with A one night. He loves my dress, hehe!:

Thank you, Xuan Wei from
Le Flirtini! I love my dresses, so much so that I wore them almost immediately, instead of reserving them for CNY which I originally planned to do! Haha.
There was good food and wine at The Wine Connection. Actually there was also a bottle of champagne but I wasn't a big fan of bubbly so I only had one glass:

See the mashed potatoes under that steak? It was sooo buttery and nice, and then you take a sip of red wine and I tell you, it's H-E-A-V-E-NNNNNN! In fact it was so good that A and I ordered another plate,
just the potatoes. Special request, not on the menu, $3. LOL.
With da boy:

And what did I get up to while the guys were talking?
I camwhored, sometimes with A in the picture. Hahahaha! Pic spam!:

The pictures are in sequence. In other words, as you can tell I just got more and more drunk. LOL!!!!!! Those pics were all taken with my boyfriend's iPhone video-calling camera (but we all know people use it for camwhoring all the time), so pardon the poor quality and yellow tint (partly 'cos of the lighting too). Anyway I was drunk enough to puke twice. I vaguely remembered going for supper at a Thai restaurant called "Thai-tanic" and having fish maw soup. I know, cheesy name. Although I have to say, it's kinda weird to see red liquid coming out of your mouth other than pale stuff like beer and all. First time drunk on red wine! Haha. Other times I was only at the MOST, tipsy. Thank God for my boyfriend! ♥
CNY was the same old, visiting relatives and all. My red packet money only just slightly passed the $100 mark, not even enough to pay for Jolin Tsai's concert ticket this May. I suppose I'd have to forgo my Mandarin pop princess' gig for the first time now. =S A bought some CNY goodies for my parents as well - pineapple tarts and sugee cake (and a few others I didn't snap pictures of):

Did my nails at Milly's for CNY but sadly, it didn't manage to last so I repainted them myself. But here's what I chose this time round (took pictures before they chipped off):

Simple leopard preeeen! I know it doesn't seem related to Chinese New Year but then I wasn't trying to stick to the theme anyway! Milly's is located at
Far East Plaza II #03-129 and Bugis Village #3, 4 & 5. Call 8383 5395 to make an appointment! =)
Had a CNY BBQ with A and his friends last night too:

I don't mean to be a Grinch but CNY gets old. But then again, I'm glad I got to spend it with the boyfriend too. =D

Happy Chinese New Year y'all.

I will yell this from a mountain top
HELLO EVRAYBADEHHH! Guess whatttt. =D
I AM A CLUBCOUTURE FASHION AMBASSADOR!!!! *CRAZY DANCE*Remember the
very first time I blogged for Clubcouture? That was 2 years ago! Then, it was just an ad and yet they sponsored me with so many clothes, which I wore again and again on several occasions - to club, to party with the Black Eyed Peas, on Gucci's birthday, etc! =):

I'm so glad they remembered me and picked me to be one of their fashion ambassadors for 2011! ;D
Check out what I picked out this time round!:

I am absolutely in love with my lovely Brittany Floral Chiffon dress from
ClubCouture! ♥ Stay tuned for more coming your way! ;) xoxo
