You know how they say human beings are most innocent and pure at birth, because we are untainted by the evil and temptations of the world? There is black and white, and with good, comes evil. I have no idea when the world became this twisted, but I suppose if you are more or less on the right track in your upbringing, you'd be fine. There is always the temptation in the midst of it all, and that's when we ask ourselves, "Is it right? Should I do this?"

I might sound biased when I say this, but that is because I have this love for animals. And that is why I say people should treat them good. If you are not an animal lover, you don't have to agree with me. It's perfectly okay. BUT, I'm sure you definitely don't see the need to abuse/torture them either, right? If you have the least bit of compassion in you, you will know to leave them alone and leave them be.

Not this particular bunch of drunk minors in Bosnia, who did this to Vucko the German Shepherd:





They tied a rocket/firecracker into his mouth, and the above is the end result. Vucko was put to sleep after 5 days.

A couple of years back, I watched a video of a bunch of teenagers dousing a dog with petrol, and then setting it on fire. They cornered the dog, laughing away. And while they were drenching the dog in petrol, it was hopping about, probably thinking, "Oh yes! Play-time!" Or maybe it was trying to escape. I don't know. But when it was set on fire, its cries were so heartbreaking, I can still hear them in my head. Even until now. I had nightmares for 2 weeks, and I told myself I will never watch things like these again. But I only happened to see the above picture by accident, when I opened up my Facebook and it was first in my friend's feed. I got a complete shock, and then I burst into tears. I shared the article, and made several of my friends cry too. This is one of the worst abuse cases I've come across. It's just so ugly, so evil and so... I don't know, I have no words for this horror.

I don't know how old these minors are, but I don't believe there should be an excuse for their atrocious behaviour. If they are allowed to continue growing up without any supervision or proper upbringing, I am almost positive they will turn into psychotic murderers. There is NO EXCUSE for behaving this way. Vucko was somebody's pet. Even if he wasn't, he's still made of flesh and bone. Just like us. Flesh will hurt. Why are these perpetrators allowed to abuse him this way and get away with it? How would they like it if a firecracker was taped to their mouths? Why haven't they asked themselves these questions??? Or have they, and yet still did it anyway??

Ugly things like these happen all over the world, everywhere. The rescue work is never-ending. I've heard the most horrific stories, seen the most horrific videos and pictures. And all they do is get me angry, make me feel completely helpless and powerless. I can't save them all. I get it. I can't. And I also know animal abusers will exist as long as the world exists.

I am not a vegetarian. I eat pork, mutton, fish, beef, chicken. If you made me sit in a slaughterhouse and served me fresh meat after a slaughter, I would not eat it. I feel uncomfortable even sitting in a seafood restaurant and having all these lobsters and fish swimming in their tanks, knowing that they will end up on somebody's plate just like how they ended up on mine. Ignorance is definitely bliss. But for some reason, I cannot turn a blind eye to dog abuse. Why would the saying, "A dog is a man's best friend." be so popular, if it weren't true to an extent? This the way you treat your best friend? I cannot believe it. I cannot accept it.

There is no point ranting and raving about how angry we are at these animal abusers or at stupid kids who "didn't know better". Maybe they did. Maybe they just wanted to do it. Yes, they're assholes, they shouldn't be left to wander this Earth if they could do this to poor defenseless animals, I would kill them with my bare hands and go to jail myself, etc. But the world is unfair, and they ARE assholes and they ARE wandering this Earth doing evil things to innocent animals. The only thing we can do, is to HELP THE ANIMALS. Protect them from harm the best way you can. You have no time, but you have money. You don't have money, but you have compassion. You have something. You WILL find something. They need help.

Please help. :'(((

Vucko didn't deserve this at all, but I believe he is in a better place now with no pain, no crazy evil people out to get him.
